Grabbed this from the unlimited selection. I only had a vague knowledge of compass function and map reading. This was short and to the point, gives you a good understanding of how to navigate with a compass!

Save your money!

Save your money! As someone who learned land nav in the Marine Corps and taught it to our SWAT team I buy most books on subjects that I teach to add tools to my toolbox. This book is way over priced. The information in here is not that well written! Basic Essentials by Cliff Jacobson is a way better book! Wilderness Navigation with map and compass by Bob and Mike Burns is probably one of the best books on the subject that I recommend to all of my officers looking to learn more! After learning the basics do your self a favor and get some dirt time. It will greatly inhance your confidence!
