A true genius and artiste in the body-building field, and amazing ability to verbally convey his training philosophy. A hard-core perfectionist and in my eyes a true demi-god. Also, I love the fact that he is very open and honest about issues such as steroids, and doesn't obfuscate these issues, because a lot of workout information contains routines for people who are on strong performance enhancers, and it is not fair (and even dangerous), to hand these routines/suggestions to others who want to grow more organically. I have been training for over 7 years, and thought I was very literate in fitness, yet I still managed to learn more than a thing or two from Bob.

Should be essential reading for anyone serious about bodybuilding

One of the best guides to bodybuilding you are likely to find. No fluff. Just real tips from a guy who had one of the best physiques of all time. He saw himself as an artist, and he gives you insight on what you need to do for yourself to have a great physique too. Not just the exercises, but how to put it all together. His other books are great too. Should be essential reading for anyone serious about bodybuilding

I bought this 20 years ago and lost it so I ordered this one.
My wife and I did this for 7 weeks, didn't make it to 10 weeks but had amazing transformation. My brother did it at the same time for the 10 week program and his transformation was incredible. He continued and looked like Bob Paris on the cover.
He shows you don't have to use massive weights with all the grunting and screaming like the idiots at the gym.
You use light weights and do the reps very slowly especially when retracting returning to rest position. You only do this every other day. We biked or walked on the off days. I am going to try it again
